Our aim is to play an important strategic role in school life. We help to establish a vision for the future of the school within the community and set and review strategies and procedures to ensure the best possible education for all children. We regularly monitor standards of children’s work and the progress they make. We also have responsibility for the financial control of the school and the safety of the pupils and staff.
The governing body consists of 11 (voluntary) members who generally serve a minimum of 4 years.

Our Governors
We work together with the Head teacher and staff to ensure that your child(ren) are happy, safe and successful and reach their full potential while they attend Staunton-on-Wye Endowed Primary School.
The governors are always made welcome in the school by the staff and children and see themselves as part of the wider team, many volunteer on Wednesday afternoons and attend important events throughout the year.
