It is our policy that all children wear school uniform when attending school, or when participating in school organised events outside normal school hours. We ask children and parents/carers to take pride in their personal appearance at all times. All uniform should be named clearly.
Our school uniform is a combination of navy, red and grey.
- Grey skirt/pinafore or grey school trousers/shorts – compulsory (no leggings or joggers)
- Red checked dress, culottes or grey shorts – optional (Summer term or early Autumn)
- Red polo shirt – compulsory (school logo optional)
- Navy blue school sweatshirt or cardigan – compulsory (school logo optional)
- Navy blue fleece with logo – optional
- Grey short or knee length socks – compulsory (white with Summer uniform)
- Navy, red or grey tights – optional (navy leggings as an option under a skirt)
- Plain black shoes – compulsory (not trainers)
- Hair bands, scrunchies, ribbons and bows should be plain in either red or navy – recommended
- Outdoor, waterproof coat – compulsory
PE/Games
- Red round neck t-shirt
- Navy shorts
- Navy tracksuit bottoms/leggings
- Red hoody/sweatshirt
- Trainers (no pumps/must be suitable for outside use)
- School socks (grey/white – unbranded)
- Girls must also have spare socks for when they are wearing tights to school – compulsory
- KS2 require football boots to play hockey, rugby and football on our wonderful field –compulsory
Swimming
Children will need a named swimming suit/trunks, towel and swimming hat (if long hair/fringe). These should be carried in a small bag – compulsory
We hold our intensive swimming lessons with Typhoon instructors at Lucton Pool in the Summer Term.
Forest School and Gardening (Wednesdays)
Old trousers (no thin leggings). Wellington boots are provided by the school.
Jewellery
For health and safety reasons we do not allow children to wear jewellery in school with the exception of studs in pierced ears and simple watches. The wearing of earrings and ear-studs (metal or plastic) are not permitted on safety grounds during physical education (PE) lessons and other sporting activities such as out of hours school learning or competitive fixtures. We encourage pupils to leave earrings at home on days when they have PE lessons.
Nails should be kept short with no polish.
Hair should be kept out of eyes and fully tied back for PE lessons and sporting activities. Hair dye and shaved tramlines or hair patterns are not permitted.
It is the responsibility of parents/carers to ensure that their child has the correct uniform and PE kit.
Please also note that mobile phones and smart watches are not permitted in school – these items must be handed into the school office on arrival and collected at the end of the day.

My Clothing Ltd has taken over from Tesco Uniform Embroidery Service as an additional supplier of our branded uniform. The company promises fast and efficient service, and is currently offering a 5% school donation on any purchases. They are able to supply polo shirts, sweatshirts and cardigans, PE t-shirts, school rucksacks, PE bags and book bags. There is an extensive size range, and prices are currently matched to the Tesco scheme.
