Wye Valley Falconry

Thanks to FOSS for supporting a fantastic afternoon for KS2! We all enjoyed time looking at birds of prey including owls, falcons and hawks and learning lots of interesting facts: did you know the fastest peregrine falcon flew at a speed of 242mph?! We also learnt words such as diurnal, crepuscular and cast (a group of hawks that live together). Lots of engaged children making the most of the opportunities at Staunton Primary!
